NORMANTON KNIGHTS v CRIGGLESTONE AB

Normanton Knights U14's rounded off a fantastic season with a 26-12 win over local rivals Crigglestone All Blacks to seal promotion to Division one next season.Knights were superbly lead by captain Brad Cook.With forwards Callum Straw,Matty Sellars,Danny Hough,Matty Robinson and Reece Howard working tirelessly throughout.Backs Chris Marsh,Jonny Dye,Ben Martin and Jonny Carr looked dangerous and hard working hooker Jake Green distributed the ball well in poor playing condition.Crigglestone had no answer to Knights loose forward Liam Blockley and stand off Robbie Ward who both crssed the whitewash for two tries a piece.Speedy centre Tom Jordan also sneaked over in the corner.Lively scrum half Joe Crossland was rewarded with three conversions two which were superb touchline efforts.

NORMANTON KNIGHTS V EAST LEEDS

Knights U14's put on a superb display of rugby to cruise to a 56-18 win at  East Leeds scoring eleven tries along the way.Tom Jordan opened the scoring followed by Liam Blockley,Brad Cook and two to Jonny Dye to give Knights a 28-8 half time lead.Knights showed no mercy in the second half with Robbie Ward crossing the whitewash for his hat-trick while Tom Jordan and Liam Blockley both crossed for their second of the match.Matty Sellars dived over in the corner to round off the try scoring .Joe Crossland added six conversions to round off an excellent team performance. Knights play Crigglestone on Thursday night in their last league match of the season hoping to secure a place in division one. 

Stanningley  vs Normanton Knights

 Knights keep promotion firmly in their sights despite losing out to a narrow 30-28 defeat at Stanningley.First half tries to Chris Marsh and Liam Blockley with Joe Crossland adding two conversions saw Knights hold on to  a slender 12-10 half time lead.Robbie Ward,Liam Blockley and Ben Martin crossed the whitewash in the second half. Joe Crossland added one more conversion to set up a tense  finish .Knights never gave up trying to get the match winning points but Stanningley clung on to claim the win.Knights travel to East Leeds on Sunday in a must win game.

NORMANTON KNIGHTS VS EAST LEEDS

Normanton Knights U14's out classed their opponents from East Leeds to record a 40-10 victory.Jonny Dye opened the scoring for Knights going over in the corner.Playing some superb rugby at times knights raced into a 26-0  half time lead with further first half tries to Joe Crossland,Robbie Ward,Liam Blockley and Reece Howard.Joe Crossland added three conversions.Knights forwards Brad Cook,Matty Sellars,Matty Robinson,Danny Hough and Callum Straw made some blockbusting drives againt a bigger pack laying the platform for Tom Jordan,Chris Marsh,Ben Martin,and Jake Green to make the gaps as Knights added further tries through Jonny Carr,Liam Blockley and Robbie Ward with Ward adding one more conversion.East Leeds managed to break the solid Knights defence twice in the second half but a comeback was never on the card.Knights continue their push for promotion with a trip to Stanningley on Sunday.

NORMANTON KNIGHTS vs HUNSLET WARRIORS

Normanton Knights U14's  crashed to a 20-26  defeat to Hunslet Warriors.They were their own worst enemy in the first half as they let Hunslet race into a 14 point lead before Jonny Dye crossed for a try converted by Joe Crossland.Warriors yet again extended their lead to 14 points until just before half time when Liam Blockley crossed the try line cutting the defecit to 10 points.Knights started the second half strong with Robbie Ward crashing over the line converted by Joe Crossland making it 16-20.Weak defence allowed Hunslet to cross the line again making the score line 16-24.Knights hit back once again with a well taken try to Tom Jordan to leave them trailing by 6.Knights were unlucky to claim a draw at the end after a full lengh Robbie Ward effort was pulled back for a knock on handing Hunslet the two points .
