NORMANTON KNIGHTS V CHURWELL CHIEFS

Normanton Knights finished the season at home to Churwell Chiefs. The Knights found the game hard going and could not get into any rhythm either in attack or defence. Liam Barsby got 2 tries for the Knights with Liam Overall getting the other. Conversions came from James Lingard, Thomas Hutchinson and Connor Cambridge. Most Improved performance came from Lewis Carr. Top Tackler was Matthew Simpson and the Man of the Match award was given to Barsby.

NORMANTON KNIGHTS V YORK ACORN

Normanton Knights travelled to York Acorn in another cliff hanger game. Great ball handling and support play made the Knights look very slick in attack. It was just a shame that the defence was not switched on at times. Lewis Carr opened the scoring for the Knights followed by Liam Barsby and another hat trick from Adam Jordan. Conversions came from Thomas Hutchinson, Jordan, Barsby, Carr and Matthew Simpson. Callum Smith was awarded the Most Improved award for great driving whilst Barsby picked up the Top Tackler award for a relentless work rate and Simpson was the Man Of The Match. Liam Overall took the Opposition Man Of The Match Award.

NEW EARSWICK V NORMANTON KNIGHTS

Normanton Knights U10's travelled to New Earswick on Saturday and again gave a great team performance. Thomas Hutchinson gave an impressive match performance earning himself the most improved award. Normanton Passed the ball about well with great support play from all. Tries came from James Lingard, Adam Jordan, Thomas Roche and Matthew Simpson. Conversions from Jordan, Roche, Simpson and Connor Cambridge. Top Tackler was Simpson and Man Of The Match went to Jordan From the Knights as well as the Opposition Man of the Match award.

 HUNSLET PARKSIDE V NORMANTON KNIGHTS

Normanton Knights U10's travelled to Hunslet Parkside on Saturday. The weather was hot and so was the talent on show. It was a pleasure to watch the standard of the game grow throughout the side. Adam Jordan opened the scoring with a powerhouse try through a very strong defence of Hunslet. The game was nip and tuck to both sides from then on. Jordan then assisted James Lingard with a perfectly weighted punt through for Lingard to pick and drive for the line. Jordan rounded off the Knights trys with an instinctive drive from acting half. Conversions came from Jordan and Lingard who shared the Man of The Match honours. Matty Simpson grabbed a conversion of his own to round off the Match as the Top Tackler. Most Improved performances came from Thomas Roche for some excellent work at scrum half and Leo Wright for great straight running play.

OULTON RAIDERS V NORMANTON KNIGHTS

Normanton Knights U10's travelled to Oulton Raiders but did not turn on any of their recent good form. The Raiders crossed the whitewash Unopposed for the first three quarters of the game. The Knights just could not get any momentum going at all despite some excellent ball handling spells . The Most Improved performance came from Bradley Jones, Top Tackler was James Lingard and the Man Of The Match went to Matthew Simpson who was the only Knight to break the Raiders defence to score a consolation try and convert the same. The Raiders gave Adam Jordan was the Opposition Man of the Match award for an all round performance.

NORMANTON KNIGHTS  V  DUDLEY HILL

Normanton Knights U10's welcomed Dudley Hill in another nail biting game of end to end rugby. Great performances in attack and defence from all the Knights lead to a great team performance. Adam Jordan again opened the scoring for the Knights with the first of his 3 tries, with Lewis Carr also getting on the tries score sheet. Conversions came from Jordan and Thomas Hutchinson. Man of the match was Jordan, Huchinson was top tackler and Callum Smith was the most improved.

Normanton Knights U10's played Churwell Chiefs away on Saturday. The Knights gave an impressive first half account of themselves but fell apart at the break. Try scorers for Normanton were Adam Jordan two and one each for Ethan long, Liam Barsby and Lewis Carr. Conversions kicked by Long, Jordan, Carr and Connor Cambridge. Most Improved Performance came from Charlie Houghton, Top Tackler Bradley Jones and the Man of the Match Barsby. Jordan got the Man of the Match from the Opposition.

Normanton Knights U10's were hosts to York Acorn in another thrilling hard fought contest. Adam Jordan opened the scoring again with the first of an hat trick  followed by one each for Ethan Long, Thomas Hutchinson and Lewis Carr. Conversions came from Liam Overall, Hutchinson, Jordan and Carr. Strong running and a phenomenal Tackle count earned Jordan the Top Tackler, Opposition and his own Team's Man Of The Match award.
